InnovateX, a new forum dedicated to exploring the power, potential, and future of the experience economy (produced by the industry trade body Experience UK), is calling for speakers and content ideas for its 2027 event, to be held at Arcade Arena, London, in March.
This year's event at London’s Science Museum welcomed over 280 operators, creators and suppliers. Building on this success, the upcoming edition will feature an expanded two-day conference programme.
This will present more opportunities for the sector to share ideas, challenge convention, and explore the factors shaping the future of experiences.
Ideas, insight and different perspectives
InnovateX wants to hear from applicants with fresh thinking, valuable insight and practical experience to share.
Proposals are welcomed from across the industry and beyond, from operators, creators, museums and cultural organisations, experience designers, technology providers, destinations, developers, investors, academics, and other sector specialists.
It encourages ideas that lend themselves to a variety of engaging formats, including presentations, panel discussions, workshops, roundtables, and interactive sessions.
For example, proposals could consider emerging experience formats, new technologies, significant projects, case studies, evolving audience expectations, commercial models, experience design, operations, or the Experience Economy's broader challenges and opportunities.
Ian Clappison, chief executive officer of Experience UK and organiser of InnovateX, says: "InnovateX exists to bring together the people who are creating, operating and shaping experiences, and we want the industry itself to play an important role in defining the conversations we have in 2027.
"We’re looking for original ideas, practical insight and different perspectives.
"That might come from someone behind a major new attraction or technology, but equally it could be an operator who has solved a problem in a new way, a creative team testing an emerging format or someone with an idea that challenges how our industry currently thinks.
"If there is a conversation you believe the Experience Economy needs to have, we want to hear about it."

Biggest edition to date
The 2027 edition of InnovateX is set to be its biggest yet, and will feature an optional third day, InnovateX: Experience London.
The core InnovateX conference will take place on 9 and 10 March at Arcade Arena, with a Main Stage and Fringe Theatre, plus smaller, interactive roundtable discussions titled Experience Talks. These aim to encourage direct conversation between attendees and industry experts.
The event will also include the Innovation Marketplace, which showcases organisations providing the technology, products, services and expertise behind exceptional experiences, as well as hosting networking and social events.
On 11 March, the optional InnovateX: Experience London programme will offer a limited group of delegates first-hand visits to some of London’s leading experiences, including behind-the-scenes access and conversations with the operators, creatives and specialists behind them.
Together, the three days seek to connect those creating, operating, investing in and supporting experiences, while creating a platform for exchanging knowledge, discovering new ideas and building relationships across conventional industry boundaries.
Last month, Experience UK launched three new membership steering groups to help shape the organisation's future direction. The new groups, Experience Creators, Experience Operators and Place Shapers, reflect the breadth of Experience UK’s membership.
