Chinese streaming service iQIYI has announced plans to open its first Central China theme park in Wuhan in 2027.
Located in the Hanyangzao Cultural and Creative Industry Park, iQIYI's new park will combine its portfolio of TV and film brands with technology-driven immersive experiences.
iQIYI's fourth theme park development is a partnership with Wuhan Urban Construction Group.

It will bring the company's IPs to life through immersive theatres and stage performances, as well as photo spots, live character interactions and social games, alongside cultural tourism experiences developed around Wuhan's local heritage.
Per a press release, iQIYI's theme park plans are part of a wider shift in China's attractions industry, with visitors seeking brand content and emotional resonance.
"IP and technology are the accelerators of this transition," said Gong Yu, founder and CEO of iQIYI.
"Powered by technology, we will use IP as our core thread, delivering emotional value through dramas, animation, and variety shows online, and through theme parks and IP-based consumer products offline."

The first iQIYI Land opened in Yangzhou in February, providing around 10,000 square metres of immersive experiences inspired by brands such as Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty and Love Between Fairy and Devil.
"As demand for offline entertainment surges, we see iQIYI Land as a new driver for our long-term growth," said Yu.
As part of iQIYI's strategy to expand its IPs beyond streaming, iQIYI is also building parks in Beijing and Kaifeng. In December, the company announced plans for another theme park in Hangzhou.
