Jeanette Chen has spent the last 25 years in the themed attractions and family entertainment business in China. Jeanette has delivered continuous business success for the global top leading brands of multinational companies doing business in China, including but not limited to business setup, pre-opening, operation, brand transformation & attraction upgrade development through Capex planning & innovations. Jeanette has an MBA degree from Shanghai JiaoTong University.
Jeanette joined Merlin Entertainments in 2012, and prior to her current role, she was the Regional General Manager of Merlin Midway China. In this role, Jeanette has successfully run the business across multiple brands and multiple sites in multiple cities; brand portfolios include Madame Tussauds, LEGOLAND Discover Centre, Sea Life, etc., and she set up the Merlin China Hub in Shanghai.
Jeanette moved into the LEGOLAND Development team in November 2018. Her responsibility is to support and facilitate LEGOLAND Park project developments and future park operations. Jeanette’s continuous efforts have successfully led to the signing of Shanghai LEGOLAND HOT in Nov 2019, followed by Shanghai LEGOLAND Definitive Agreements signing in Nov 2020. In Mar 2021, Jeanette was appointed as General Manager of LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort, after the JV company was established.
