Kalamaja Museum
Kristi Paatsi is head of the Kalamaja Museum in Tallinn, Estonia. Founded in 2018, the museum is a vibrant community hub, engaging locals and visitors through workshops, exhibitions and events. Under her leadership, the museum won the Silletto Prize at the European Museum of the Year Awards in 2024.
The Kalamaja Museum started out as a community project, with initial discussions taking place with residents of Kalamaja to form the concept and permanent exhibition of the museum. Many residents of Kalamaja have donated items to the museum and shared stories of their lives for its exhibitions.
