Lagotronics Projects, the media-based attractions specialist, has announced that it is partnering with Drouwenerzand, a family-friendly theme park in the Netherlands, to realise an interactive GameChanger attraction.

With this agreement, Drouwenerzand will be the first theme park in the country to introduce the rotating dark ride concept.

Set to launch ahead of the 2027 season, this project marks a valuable addition to Lagotronics Projects’ GameChanger portfolio.

The partnership underscores the increasing demand in the European leisure market for compact, gameplay-focused interactive attractions.

Milestone attraction

The GameChanger is a dynamic, high-capacity dark ride that enables guests to participate either individually or in teams. Equipped with highly precise interactive technology and real-time scoring, it features a variety of game mechanics and outcomes that deliver high replay value for guests of all ages.

Mark Beumers, CEO of Lagotronics Projects, says: "We have been in close contact with Drouwenerzand for several years and during that period we have been looking for the right way to cooperate with each other.

"It is great that we are now taking this step, especially since it is a first for the Dutch market.

"We are very much looking forward to realizing this attraction together. Moreover, the enthusiasm within the Drouwenerzand team is infectious and gives us great confidence in a wonderful end result."

"Interactivity and experience are playing an increasingly important role, and with this investment we are fully committing to that direction."

The next phase of work will focus on the attraction's design and theming, which will be fully customised to the park’s identity and target audience.

Further information on the concept and content will be announced at a later date.
