Memoir Creative, a destination and experience creation company, has announced an expansion of its client services business and the appointment of Kevin Kreczko as chief growth officer.

Building on its success developing and operating original events, Memoir is bringing its integrated creative, fabrication, production, and operational expertise to theme parks, cruise lines, resorts, planned communities, municipalities, zoos, gardens, hospitals, cultural institutions, and retail settings.

It is also expanding its offerings in intellectual property (IP) development and branded experiences.

The company’s mission—“Making Every Place and Moment Meaningful”—is captured in a simple promise: Every Moment Is a Connection. Instead of presenting a show or installation on its own, Memoir creates authentic reasons for people to visit, connect, spend time, and return.

“Our mission has always been to make every place and moment meaningful,” says founder Cole NeSmith. “Through our Immersive Master Plan, we help communities, theme parks, hospitality destinations and developers think beyond what a place looks like to how people connect with it.

"With Kevin joining our leadership team, we can bring that vision to more destinations—and deliver it from concept through operations.”

Memoir’s portfolio features creative partnerships on IMMERSE, Orlando’s performing arts festival established by NeSmith through Creative City Project; the seasonal events Dazzling Nights and Happy Frights; Sea of Lights at Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, America’s No. 1 Aquarium; branded activations for United Parks & Resorts; and holiday experiences at Big Cedar Lodge, America’s No. 1 Holiday Resort.

Memoir also develops destination experiences through community activations and planning with Avalon Park Group. Collectively, these projects demonstrate how authentic experiences bring places to life and inspire visitors to return.

Memoir’s 40-plus full-time artists, designers, fabricators, producers and operators work from a 50,000-square-foot production facility.

Services include set and costume fabrication, special effects, technical and structural design, logistics, original music, animation, interactive technology, custom media, graphic design, marketing, live performance, casting, merchandise development and branded products.

“Unlike providers that stop at opening day, Memoir operates our own events. This empowers us to design with first-hand knowledge of what guests love and what operators need,” says NeSmith.

Its end-to-end services cover ticketing, guest support, staffing, food and beverage, merchandise, security, logistics, management, seasonal storage, and repeat installations.

Six growth areas

The expansion brings together six complementary growth areas, spanning turnkey destination development, Immersive Master Planning and seasonal festivals, including storage and operations. It also includes immersive products, speciality lighting and interactive displays, leased attractions, and touring experiences.

Other areas include brand strategy, marketing, graphic design, original music and media content; retail merchandise and made-to-order products; and live shows, themed entertainment and custom productions for corporate, community and sporting events.

Chris Keough recently joined as director of live entertainment to lead the expansion of this area.

Through its Relational Cities initiative, Memoir’s Immersive Master Plan weaves place-based stories, interactive spaces, public art and signature events into destination planning.

Partnering with developers and municipalities, Memoir turns downtowns, lifestyle communities, and underused spaces into places to live, work, shop, and visit, supporting local businesses, tourism, and lasting economic vitality.

Leadership for the next chapter

Kreczko has helped develop and produce over 250 Halloween and holiday events, live shows, attractions, and major sporting productions, including the NCAA Women’s Final Four.

His global destination work includes collaborations with Disney Parks and Cruise Line, United Parks & Resorts, Six Flags, Thanksgiving Point, San Antonio Zoo, Missouri Botanical Garden, and Westfield Properties.

As RWS Global’s executive VP of global business development and marketing, he grew its experience division, expanded internationally, and pursued acquisitions.

Most recently, as Bass Pro Shops’ VP of customer experience and daydreamer, he partnered with founder Johnny Morris on immersive retail, merchandise innovation, and experiences across hospitality and attractions.

“Great experiences don’t happen in silos,” said Kreczko. “They happen when creativity, production, operations and business strategy work together. Memoir isn’t just designing experiences for others—we create, build and operate them ourselves.

"We know what it takes to open the doors, welcome guests, and make the business successful. We don’t just dream big. We dream bigger and make it happen. That’s how we turn imagination into revenue.”
