Michelle Kreher

Michelle Kreher has spent more than 15 years helping translate one of the world's most trusted children's brands into physical experiences. As senior director of global themed entertainment at Sesame Workshop, she has helped build experiences that are both entertaining and grounded in Sesame Workshop's educational mission.

Kreher’s work spans theme parks, live entertainment and educational play. Her projects have included Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld Orlando, Sesame Place San Diego and, more recently, Sesame Street Learn & Play at American Dream. Sesame Workshop is also expanding its LBE footprint internationally, including a multi-year agreement to develop Sesame Street family entertainment centers (FECs) in China.

“What makes Michelle's work particularly interesting to me is the discipline required to protect both the emotional familiarity of Sesame Street and the developmental purpose behind it. These experiences cannot simply put characters into a themed environment; they need to encourage play, learning, social connection and accessibility for very young guests,” said one person who nominated Kreher.

“Michelle has quietly helped build a global model for mission-driven experiential IP.”
