Marion Carré CEO and Co-Founder Ask Mona

Marion Carré is the CEO and co-founder of Ask Mona, an innovative company that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to develop experiences for cultural institutions and their audiences. Created in 2017, Ask Mona works with more than 80 museums, monuments, theatres and cultural venues in France, Italy, Switzerland and Portugal. Carré is an entrepreneur, teacher, speaker, author and artist. She explores the relationships between AI and art from different perspectives.

Since 2019, Carré has taught a course about art and AI at Sorbonne University, Sciences Po, the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, and Aivancity. She also works as an expert evaluator for the European Commission. In 2020, she published a book with Valentin Schmite about art and artificial intelligence. Carré has received several awards, including Forbes 30 Under 30 and 100 Women of Culture. She has also received the Medal of Honor from the City of Paris.

Ask Mona started with the launch of the first cultural chatbot, which recommended cultural experiences to thousands of users. The start-up company has raised €2.5 million to date. One of its main investors is Bpifrance, a French public investment bank. Ask Mona’s clients save an average of 37 hours per month with the help of its chatbots. Carré is committed to supporting the cultural industry in its digital transformation. She regularly speaks at conferences.
