Semmel Exhibitions, a creator of award-winning blockbuster exhibitions, has joined forces with Marvel to present Marvel: Earth’s Mightiest Exhibition. This brand-new museum experience takes visitors on a tour of the Marvel Universe, provides a new look at the company’s extensive 80+ year history, investigates Marvel’s global influence, and provides behind-the-scenes access to some of the most iconic stories and characters in popular culture.
Immersive installations meet original artefacts
Marvel: Earth’s Mightiest Exhibition is the next step in the ongoing creative collaboration between Semmel and Marvel, expanding on the success of the popular Marvel: Universe Of Super Heroes and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing exhibitions. It includes a variety of interactives, photo ops, immersive installations, and original artefacts from Marvel’s comics and films.
Marvel: Earth’s Mightiest Exhibition will make its world premiere at Tākina, Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, in New Zealand, 14 December 2023.
Marvel published its first comic book in 1939 and its characters are now household names around the world. As well as the comics, a host of TV shows and blockbuster films have attracted new generations of fans.
Semmel’s previous production, Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes, premiered in Seattle in April 2018 and has since travelled to venues throughout the US and Canada. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing is currently on display at Union Station in Kansas City.
Semmel Exhibitions recently announced that Disney100: The Exhibition is now open at Munich’s Small Olympic Hall and will open in London in October. The exhibition, which debuted earlier this year at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, includes ten uniquely themed galleries with cutting-edge technology. It will be open in Munich until 3 September, and will then embark on an international tour.
Earlier this month, blooloop spoke to Christoph Scholz, director of exhibitions and international projects at Semmel Exhibitions, who explained how the firm creates authentic exhibitions that appeal to a wide audience.
