Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios have announced plans for the world's first Minecraft-themed hotel, and revealed the name of the first-ever Minecraft roller coaster.
The Minecraft World Hotel and the new coaster, called Escape the Nether, are part of the £50 million Minecraft World land coming to Chessington World of Adventures Resort in 2027.
Minecraft World will bring Minecraft to life through rides, dining and retail experiences, while the hotel will allow guests to remain immersed in the world of the video game.
It will include 20 premium rooms and 49 standard rooms, inspired by the game's iconic biomes, blocky trees, animals and mobs.
It will also feature an immersive underwater-themed restaurant and potions bar based on the Woodland Mansion.
Daisy Mercedes, creative producer at Merlin, said: "We promised something truly special when we announced Minecraft World earlier this year, and with Minecraft World Hotel we are offering even more."

"Seeing the Minecraft World Hotel take shape alongside the attractions we are building at Chessington World of Adventures theme park is a Minecraft fan's biggest dream," she added.
"Every room, corridor and detail has been crafted with immense love for this game, the stories made within it and its community."
As for Escape the Nether, the world's first Minecraft coaster will take guests on a high-speed indoor adventure through dark mines before exiting the building through a Nether portal into the land's Overworld-themed area.

"Bringing Minecraft into an entirely new medium has been a fascinating creative challenge," said Filip Keatley Thoms, creative lead for Minecraft parks and experiences at Mojang Studios.
"We have thought about everything from the scale of the blocks to how mobs and biomes come to life in the real world.
"Our goal is to create an experience that feels authentically Minecraft and gives guests the chance to experience the game in an entirely new way."
