The WestK Performing Arts Centre, Asia's new destination for dance and theatre, is opening in Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District in 2027.
The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest and most ambitious cultural hubs in the world and Hong Kong’s cultural tourism landmark.
Spanning 40 hectares alongside Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour, the district is already home to the M+ museum and the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
It also includes performing arts venues such as the Xiqu Centre and Freespace, as well as the 11-hectare Art Park with a waterfront promenade.

Designed by leading Dutch architecture practice UNStudio in collaboration with Hong Kong-based architecture firm AD+RG, the new performing arts centre will showcase dance, theatre and music performances.
The 7,747-square-metre site includes a 1,450-seat grand theatre, a 600-seat medium theatre, a 270-seat studio theatre, and an additional 148-seat space.
Each theatre will have its own foyer with overlooks, allowing all theatres to be open at the same time.
Hong Kong Ballet will become the WestK Performing Arts Centre's first resident company, and will inaugurate the new attraction with the world premiere of Bruce Lee: Hong Kong Legend.

"The forthcoming WestK Performing Arts Centre is envisioned to be a distinctive artistic home for dance and theatre with its own voice, identity and creative purpose," said Paul Tam, executive director of performing arts at the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority.
"We aim to establish WestK PAC as a platform where artists from different cultures and disciplines can interact and collaborate, and where local stories can engage global audiences," he added.
"WestK PAC will contribute to define a new model for artistic exchange and shape the future of performing arts, strengthening Hong Kong’s position as a leading cultural destination in Asia."
