Six Flags Great America is transforming its Yukon Territory area into the new Camp Timber Trail, which will boast the Midwest's longest, tallest and fastest suspended family coaster.
Opening at the park in Gurnee, Illinois in 2027, Camp Timber Trail will celebrate the heritage of Yukon Territory while introducing new interactive play and discovery experiences.
The family-friendly area will feature nine attractions and experiences – three new attractions, four rethemed rides, and two park classics.
"Since opening in 1976, Yukon Territory has been home to some of the park's most cherished memories," said John Krajnak, park president of Six Flags Great America.
"With Camp Timber Trail, we're making a significant investment in family experiences, preserving the playful spirit that has defined this area for decades while introducing exciting new ways to explore and create traditions together."
New attractions in Camp Timber Trail are the Sky Hawk suspended family coaster, as well as the Trail Trotters wilderness trek and the Forest Grove play park.
Rethemed experiences are the Chirp Chaser family coaster (formerly Sprocket Rockets), the Wilderness Wagon ride (formerly Crazy Bus), the Creek Cruiser boat ride (formerly Yahoo River), and the Bee Boppin' attraction (formerly Buzzy Beez).

Park classics in Camp Timber Trail are Little Dipper and Logger's Run, and the area will feature themed dining, shopping and environmental-themed storytelling.
Camp Timber Trail is part of the theme park's wider investment plan, which will enhance the landscaping, walkways, guest amenities, facilities, and overall look and feel of the destination.
"As the first step in a multi-year transformation of the park, Camp Timber Trail reflects our commitment to enhancing the guest experience while building on the legacy that makes Six Flags Great America so special," said Krajnak.
