Universal Beijing has announced plans for Asia's first Fast & Furious-themed indoor thrill ride as the resort celebrates its 5th anniversary this month.

The new ride has been designed exclusively for Universal Beijing and will bring the franchise’s signature chase sequences, action-packed scenes and high-energy atmosphere into a themed ride experience.

Per a press release, it will seamlessly integrate immersive environments, storytelling, and the ride experience itself.

"Over the past five years, we have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the vibrant growth of experience-driven consumption in China, while also seeing Universal Beijing Resort become an important platform where global creativity, diverse passions and local innovation come together," said Joe Hoskin, EVP and general manager of Universal Beijing.

"We are deeply grateful to government authorities at all levels, our partners, team members and every guest for their support," he added.

"Universal Beijing Resort will continue to enhance our offerings and work with partners across sectors to explore innovative entertainment experiences, creating ‘Infinite’ possibilities together with generations of guests."

In addition to the new ride, Universal Beijing will create a nighttime spectacular for its lagoon, which is located at the heart of Universal Studios Beijing.

The lagoon connects several of the park's themed lands, and with the new show, will serve as a special gateway connecting the experiences.

Universal Orlando will also debut its own Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster in 2027.
