Universal Orlando Resort has announced a new indoor thrill coaster coming to Epic Universe.
Construction is already underway on the new coaster, which will be built in the park's Dark Universe land, next to Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment.
Per a press release, the upcoming attraction at Epic Universe will immerse guests in a new story inspired by the Universal Monsters franchise.

Details about the new indoor coaster, including its name and opening date, have yet to be announced. Universal said the attraction is planned to open in the "years ahead".
This comes as Universal Orlando Resort continues to expand its line-up of attractions and entertainment across the destination, with several new experiences planned over the coming years.
Universal Studios Florida will open a reimagined Universal Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse later this year. The park will also welcome Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, a high-speed roller coaster, in 2027.

Other additions include a new signature full-service restaurant in the Jurassic Park area of Universal Islands of Adventure, opening in 2027, and Luke Combs’ Category 10, a new music and entertainment venue set to open at Universal CityWalk in late 2027.
In other Universal news, Epic Universe has integrated a new floating solar system as part of Universal Orlando Resort's renewable energy programme.
The 1.4 MW installation, developed by Qcells and D3Energy, was energised earlier this year and is now operational.

It forms part of three on-site solar installations at the theme park, which together have a capacity of 3.7 MW.
Together, the installations are forecast to generate more than 6.7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, equivalent to the energy needs of more than 900 homes.
The floating array also supports the park's electric transport network. Solar energy is stored in batteries during daylight hours and used to charge Universal's electric buses overnight.
