Pico Play, a global leader in planning, designing, developing, and constructing world-class themed attractions and entertainment, has recently added a new, first-class showroom and innovative staging facility to its Middle East operations.
Opening in February 2026, the purpose-designed space includes a modern showroom featuring a curated exhibition of props, models, and design elements from key projects, along with a state-of-the-art staging area with lighting and AV technology akin to a film studio soundstage.

"Our new staging facility and showroom enable us to do what we do best: put on a great show," says Darren McLean, Pico Play executive director.
"The modern soundstage-style facility means we can shine a spotlight on our work and help our clients not just inspect the work we produce for them but experience elements of the attraction or theming in the same way their guests will, integrated with lights, sound and video."

The new facility is designed as an immersive space where clients can see their projects come to life. It features a professional lighting rig and AV setup from Holovis, and state-of-the-art LED screen requirements from Unilumen.
Growth reflects quality & talent
Following its first contract in April 2024, Pico Play’s Middle East operations have expanded to include a regional headquarters in Riyadh, a 4,000-square-metre production facility in Al-Kharj, south of Riyadh, and a team of over 200 local staff working across 10 projects throughout the region.
The new showroom and staging area replaces a smaller iteration that was attached to the main production facility.
"This represents yet another step in Pico Play’s incredible growth and expansion in the Middle East region," says McLean.
"It also further reflects our commitment to the Saudi Vision 2030, where tourism and major projects are prioritised as key pillars of economic growth."

Hadi Salahat, Pico Play's head of Middle East, says the company’s growth in the region reflects its quality of work and skilled team.
"It’s been an incredible journey," says Salahat. "We’ve carefully selected our team, drawing from some of the best in the region while enticing talent from overseas to continue to build on our growth and offer world-class service.
"Pico Play has built a well-deserved reputation for producing the highest quality products and working on some of the most anticipated projects throughout the region.
"The Middle East region is important to Pico Play’s long-term strategic vision. We look forward to strengthening our reputation in the region and welcoming more clients to our showroom in Al-Kharj to see what we’re capable of achieving for them."
Recently, Pico Play announced that its Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, office has entered a new era with the expansion and redevelopment of its dedicated design space.
