Crayola is opening its latest family entertainment centre (FEC) in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in fall 2024.
The upcoming Crayola-themed attraction is the result of a collaboration with BrightColors and its partner Kingsmen Xperience. It will be the first of five new Crayola Experience FECs to open in the US by 2027.
The 30,000-square-foot venue in Pigeon Forge will offer over 20 interactive attractions, as well as a retail outlet selling the world’s largest selection of Crayola products.
In addition to new experiences at the Tennessee location, guests will get to name their own Crayola crayon, star in their own colouring page and create melted wax art.
Interactive and colourful attractions
The family-friendly facility will “introduce new colorful adventures to our iconic lineup of imagination-inspiring activities, taking the experience to a new level”, said Warren Schorr, Crayola’s senior vice president of business development, global licensing and experiences.
“We’ve sharpened our crayons to create a new experience that transports guests into the whimsical world of Crayola crayons and markers,” he added.
The latest Crayola Experience will be the brand’s sixth attraction, joining existing venues in Texas, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Florida and Arizona.
“We’re very excited to be developing the first of the next generation Crayola Experiences,” said Robin Turner, managing director of BrightColors, a division of family-friendly attractions operator Good Vibrations.
Next-generation Crayola Experience
“This will mark one of the first global branded attractions in the Pigeon Forge area. We will continue to focus on family-friendly markets with a strong tourism and residential draw to bring the colorful world of Crayola to new audiences.”
Kingsmen Xperience, the location-based entertainment subsidiary of Kingsmen Creatives in the US, is also working with Good Vibrations to launch new Hasbro-themed attractions in North America.
These include the region’s first Nerf Action Xperience and the world’s first Planet Playskool, opening in late 2023 at Westfield Garden State Plaza in New Jersey.
