Falcon’s Beyond announces BRON Studios partnership

The collaboration will accelerate IP expansion across the transmedia spectrum

Falcon’s Beyond Global, a fully integrated development enterprise for IP-driven parks, resorts, media and merchandise, has announced a new strategic partnership with a global media and technology specialist.

The firm will be working with BRON Studios, a leading global production company to co-develop and co-produce international IPs into feature films, episodic series, and video games. The partnership will also work on Web3 activations, consumer products, and attractions including Location-Based Entertainment (LBE) experiences.

Through the collaboration, BRON will leverage its production pipeline with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. Its award-winning talent will help create episodic series and feature films based on Falcon’s Beyond IPs such as the Katmandu franchise. A new state-of-the-art theme park based on the theme, Katmandu Park, is planned to open in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic by early 2023 at the latest.

Falcon’s Beyond will utilise its 360-degree IP Expander flywheel to set BRON’s IPs in motion across its LBE destinations, content platforms and consumer marketplaces for products.

BRON is renowned for working on top blockbuster productions including House of GucciGhostbusters: AfterlifeGreyhound, Joker and The Survivor, and has contributed to 32 Academy Award nominations, resulting in six wins.

Preparing for growth

Falcon’s Beyond announced a definitive merger agreement with FAST II, a special purpose acquisition company listed, with the anticipated result of Falcon’s Beyond becoming a publicly listed company on the Nasdaq stock exchange.

Upon transaction closing, the new combined company will be named Falcon’s Beyond Global and is expected to be listed under the ticker symbol FBYD. The deal is anticipated to close in either late 2022 or the first quarter of 2023, with more information available on the company’s corporate website.

In May, Falcon’s Beyond announced its partnership with Moonbug Entertainment, which will explore the potential of Moonbug’s popular CoComelon and Blippi IPs within the LBE landscape.
