Falcon’s Beyond Global, a fully integrated development enterprise for IP-driven parks, resorts, media and merchandise, has agreed a deal with a top media company to leverage a number of its leading children’s brands.
The themed entertainment specialist will leverage its comprehensive IP Expander model with Moonbug Entertainment to create new immersive experiences, beginning with Blippi and CoComelon.
The two series will feature in Curiosity Playground, a new children’s-focused experiential edutainment concept that will comprise popular IPs in brand new interactive environments.
The physical edutainment venue has been created by Falcon’s Beyond, featuring four portals which will offer comprehensive experiences and attractions based on Falcon’s ‘Curiosity Spectrum’ of science, technology, arts, and nature. Guests are encouraged to initiate self-guided journeys of exploration, interaction, and learning with some of their favourite characters within enriching environments.
Falcon’s Beyond CEO Cecil D. Magpuri says: “Moonbug’s roster of IPs includes many of today’s most popular children’s properties and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to help bring them to life through our IP Expander flywheel. Curiosity Playground offers kids and families a place to let curious minds roam free in a safe and stimulating environment populated by the characters and brands they love.”

A range of exclusive co-branded merchandise is also in development, featuring Blippi, CoComelon and the Curiosity Playground brand. A selection of additional Moonbug brands and characters will feature at Curiosity Playground Kids Camps, which are under development with Melia Hotels International for sites around the world.
Moonbug Entertainment’s head of live entertainments, Susan Vargo, says: “Our partnership with Falcon’s Beyond is not only another step towards our commitment to bringing the best quality content both online and offline to parents and preschoolers across the globe, but also provides a fantastic opportunity for families to experience Moonbug in real life, together.
“Falcon’s Beyond is a leader in their field and we are excited to be working with them to bring the magic of our digital IPs to our existing and new audiences.”
The two TV shows are the latest children’s brands to feature at Curiosity Playground, alongside other PBS KIDS such as Dinosaur Train, Odd Squad, Wild Kratts, and Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum.
Debuting in the Dominican Republic, Curiosity Playground will form part of Falcon’s Central, a comprehensive retail, dining, and entertainment complex due to open in Punta Cana.
Curiosity Playground is one of four location-based entertainment venues which will comprise popular IPs alongside original IPs from Falcon’s Beyond.
Falcon’s Central will open in phase two of Falcon’s upcoming leisure destination, with phase one including Katmandu Park Punta Cana, opening this autumn. The scheme is currently planned to be rolled out to over a dozen Flacon’s Beyond-operated resorts.
