Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has announced that GameTime, a group of popular indoor FECs in Florida, has chosen to roll out its self-service redemption kiosks at two of its venues.
Customers can now easily and quickly exchange their game tickets for prizes using the state-of-the-art redemption kiosks, which streamline and simplify the prize redemption process. The award-winning RFID card technology from Semnox is connected to the redemption kiosks, meaning that guests can use a single card for both gameplay and prize redemption.
A positive shift in guest behaviour
“We had a positive shift in guest behavior when we implemented the self-service kiosks for game card purchases, so adding the redemption kiosks just made sense,” says Mike Abecassis, owner and operator at GameTime. “About 55% of redemptions have moved to the redemption kiosks, which removes the selection process and cuts back on staffing. We were able to really impact not only labor but the guest experience because it’s a better self-driven experience.”
GameTime has integrated the kiosks with Semnox’s Parafait Venue Management System, which enables venue operators to easily manage their multi-unit operations, including arcade and redemption games, food and beverage sales, and other entertainment activities. GameTime also plans to roll out the kiosks to all six of its entertainment venues in Florida.
“The experience with Semnox has been stellar. We’re coming up on five years of our partnership,” adds Abecassis. “Our software and hardware are 100% Semnox. Other industry POS systems just didn’t have the complexity in their operations that we have, and Semnox was able to take on those complexities and work through the challenges of growing the software to give us the desired outcome we have today, and tomorrow’s outlook looks even better.”
By putting these self-service kiosks in place, GameTime is setting the bar high for improving the visitor experience and streamlining business practises at FEC facilities.
Last month, Semnox announced the appointment of Phil Showler as its new sales partner. Showler is well-known in the business having worked in the location-based entertainment industry for more than 25 years.
