For the first time ever, SeaWorld San Diego, SeaWorld San Antonio and SeaWorld Orlando will all offer nighttime drone shows this summer.
SeaWorld Orlando is launching a new drone show this year after introducing its first-ever drone show in 2025, and SeaWorld San Diego recently announced its Ocean of Dreams drone show.
Now, a drone show has been confirmed for SeaWorld San Antonio in Texas, with the park introducing the Illuminight drone finale as part of the Electric Ocean event from 22 May.
Via a press release, 400 synchronised drones will create aerial formations that highlight the beauty of underwater ecosystems, depicting animals including a beluga whale and a majestic orca.
“We are ready to deliver one of our best summers ever as we bring unique, high-energy experiences that extend the fun well into the night,” said Jeff Davis, SeaWorld San Antonio's president.
“With our first-ever drone show, animal presentations, waterski stunt show and ocean parade, guests will have so many fun-filled reasons to visit.”
Cutting-edge drone displays
Returning to SeaWorld Orlando, the new drone show will open as part of the Electric Ocean event on 12 June.
As for SeaWorld San Diego, the new drone show includes 600 fully synchronised drones and celebrates the ocean and marine life.
The park applied to introduce drone shows as an alternative to fireworks due to environmental concerns and noise pollution.

"This summer, SeaWorld is raising the bar across the country – combining really enjoyable and fun nighttime shows and presentations, cutting-edge drone displays, exciting new experiences and nonstop family fun," said Marc Swanson, CEO of United Parks & Resorts, SeaWorld's parent company.
"From coast to coast, we're bringing together animal experiences, immersive entertainment and high-energy celebrations that offer something for every guest and create lasting memories."
