Solar Shuttle
A central focus of the collaboration is the Solar Shuttle. This electric vehicle can seat 12–24 passengers and combines lightweight engineering, roof-integrated solar panels, and smart fleet technology.
Created as a practical, scalable, zero-emission transport product, the Solar Shuttle presents a way to instantly reduce environmental impact while ensuring an outstanding visitor experience.
The electric battery system is supplemented by the vehicle’s integrated solar panels. This reduces reliance on grid charging, extends range and lowers operating costs.
The Solar Shuttle has already proven its effectiveness in different climates. In Trollhättan, Sweden, solar panels have provided approximately 30% of the vehicle’s energy needs. In the Dominican Republic, this has increased to around 80%, showing the product’s versatility across operating environments.
Developed with both operators and visitors in mind, its ultra-lightweight structure enhances energy efficiency and reduces the frequency of charging. With quiet electric propulsion and zero exhaust emissions, it is especially effective in sensitive settings like zoos, parks, resorts, and heritage sites.
Furthermore, the vehicle is wheelchair-accessible, enabling operators to deliver more inclusive transport experiences.
