CAVU Designwerks, the media-based attractions specialist, and Dreamcraft Attractions, the integrated ride specialist, will be hosting a session at blooloop V-Expo 2021, a virtual event that takes place from 4 – 6 October. Over the course of three days, attractions industry professionals will enjoy a range of expert keynote speakers, insightful panel discussions and networking opportunities.

On Monday 4 October, CAVU Designwerks and Dreamcraft Attractions will present a session in the Innovation Auditorium at 6.45 BST, called The Impact of Augmented Reality on Theme Parks and Attractions.

Exploring the AR trend in attractions

AR is currently a huge trend in the attractions industry and, as the technology continues to develop, we are likely to see it in more and more new attractions. In this session, hosted by Terry Sanderson, producer, business & product development at Dreamcraft and Mark Stepanian, president at CAVU Designwerks Inc., the two companies will break down some of the most common and pressing questions relating to the technology.

Topics will include the history of AR, how it differs from VR, issues with implementing AR into the attractions space and the future of AR as an attractions technology.

CAVU Designwerks and DreamCraft Attractions both worked on a recent Thea Award-winning project, The Twilight Saga: Midnight Ride at Lionsgate Entertainment World in Zhuhai, China. This is a cutting-edge attraction that puts guests at the heart of the action in the Twilight universe.

Blooloop V-Expo, now in its second year, is a content-driven virtual event delivered by industry leaders. This year, the theme is innovation, and we will be celebrating the winners of the first-ever blooloop Innovation Awards during the event, in partnership with AREA15.

Keynote speakers include Ngaire Blankenberg, Director, Smithsonian National Museum of African Art; Mark Fisher, Chief Development Officer, Merlin Entertainments; Winston Fisher, CEO, AREA15; PY Gerbeau, CEO, The London Resort; Doug Gurr, Director, Natural History Museum London; Vince Kadlubek, Founder and Director, Meow Wolf; Suhanya Raffel, Director, M+ museum and many more.

Tickets are available here.
