New addition to M Series is the smallest, lightest and quietest all-in-one RGB pure laser projector

Christie, the global visual and audio technology company, has announced the latest addition to its M Series, the M 4K24 RGB pure laser projector, building on the reliability and innovation of the line. The new release is the smallest, lightest and quietest all-in-one RGB pure laser projector available.

The M Series had a big impact on the ProAV sector when it arrived on the scene in 2007:

“The M Series packed a lot of features in a small package,” says Larry Paul, executive director, Technology and Custom Solutions, Christie. “Features like the intelligent lens system and embedded Twist for blending and warping were unique at the time, plus its small size and weight, helped it to become Christie’s best-selling line of projectors and lenses.”

Delivering twice the colour of original M Series

New, this new 25,000 lumen 4K UHD resolution M 4K25 RGB pure laser projector brings the M series up to the cutting-edge again, providing quality features in a projector weighing just 92 lbs. In addition, thanks to the RGB pure laser technology, the product is able to deliver twice the colour of the original M Series for vibrant images approaching Rec. 2020 colour volume, a standard close to what the human eye can see.

Christie’s TruLife+ electronics mean that all required connections are built-in, so there is no need to input cards. It also includes electronic colour convergence, allowing operators to correct colour convergence imperfections and to adjust red, green and blue individually with a remote. Meanwhile, the intelligent lens system enables users to swap lenses easily for rental and staging, and also offers remote motorised zoom focus and offset. The M 4K25 RGB is compatible with previous M, J and Crimson Series lenses and with the M Series rigging frame.

With the company’s precision pixel-shift technology, users benefit from UHD 4K resolution at up to 60Hz. Plus, with an optional Mirage upgrade, the product can support IP to UHD 4K at a full 120 Hz for 2D and 3D stereoscopic applications, or with Mirage Pro is can support frame rates up to 480Hz and UHD resolution.

“The new M 4K25 RGB doubles the brightness, doubles the colour volume capability, and quadruples the resolution over our legacy M Series projectors,” says Paul. “And with an unprecedented 50,000 hours of illumination performance and a field-replaceable light source, we’ve gone way beyond the legacy of the M Series as an industry workhorse in terms of long life and durability.”

Last month, the company also announced the launch of two new premium RGB pure laser projectors, the Christie CP4415-RGB and CP4420-RGB, giving high-end DCI compliant cinema performance for smaller screens.
