Electrosonic, a leading international audiovisual and technology services company, is enhancing its strategic partnership team by appointing two key members in North America. David Whitemyer will take on the role of director of partnerships, museums and culture, while Kate Klipp will serve as sales associate.
Whitemyer and Klipp have a lot of experience in the entertainment industry and will play a key role in Electrosonic’s growth plans.
David Whitemyer
Whitemyer comes to Electrosonic from Luci Creative, where he was the executive director of strategic partnerships. He has a degree in architecture and over 30 years of experience in the museum industry as a designer and project manager and as an educator in the Museum Studies program at Johns Hopkins University.
“I have had the pleasure of partnering with Electrosonic on numerous projects and I am excited to be joining their spirited and knowledgeable team,” says Whitemyer. “I’ve always known them to be passionate professionals who strive to bring an outstanding experience to their clients, and I am honored to bring my experience to that mission.”
Whitemyer will develop opportunities in the company’s museums and culture practice and build partnerships to meet Electrosonic’s clients’ audiovisual and technology needs.
“David Whitemyer is a true visionary and well respected as a leading voice in the industry,” says Chris Johnson, vice president of sales and strategic partnerships at Electrosonic. “He has built a track record of outstanding success throughout his career and his deep expertise in museums and entertainment will enable our clients and partners to thrive in our digital world.”
Kate Klipp
Klipp has experience in business development, copywriting, and strategy, which will help her support colleagues, clients, and partners. Her background in communication and experiential spaces will benefit the company’s goals in the commercial and entertainment sectors.
“Kate’s understanding of relationships and strategy will be a vital link between our team and our partners,” says Johnson. “Her expert approach and sincere interest in our clients’ success will ensure that we can serve their needs in designing, building and supporting impactful stories, including the world’s most complex projects.”
Klipp, who previously served as business development director at Eisterhold Associates, adds: “I have been on a career-mission to learn everything I can in this industry, and I’m so thrilled to be part of a team that is as passionate about continuous improvement and solving the needs of their clients and partners.”
Strengthening global partnerships
Electrosonic is a leading company in its field, impressing visitors at major entertainment venues with innovative audio-visual solutions for museums, sports arenas, resorts, casinos, live performances, theme parks, and attractions.
Johnson adds: “It’s increasingly important to deliver the best possible guest experience by creating the immersive, interactive experiences that visitors demand. That makes our partnership with designers, media producers, architects, creatives and technology providers key to meeting and exceeding those expectations. David and Kate will play a vital role in building and strengthening those critical relationships.”
Last year, Electrosonic shared details of its work on the Johnson Controls OpenBlue Innovation Center in Milwaukee, US.
