Fairgrounds St. Pete, an immersive art and technology attraction in Florida, has opened a shrimp-themed installation called ‘Shrimpfinity’.
Created in collaboration with more than 64 artists, Fairgrounds St. Pete is an immersive world with playful exhibits based on original Florida stories.
The new pop-up art installation by the Milagros collective includes a shrimp disco ball, projected animations and a six-foot-tall shrimp cocktail sculpture.
“Working with a fun and playful brand like Fairgrounds St. Pete really encouraged us to take our artwork to shrimp-finite heights,” said Milagros co-founder Joey Fillastre.

“We’re excited for you to dive into our immersive world of Shrimpfinity!”
“We love taking unconventional spaces and building off of the unique vibes that already exist thereby amplifying the feeling of the existing space, we’re often able to create a completely new and vibrant atmosphere,” said Milagros co-founder Felici Asteinza.
In a new area in Fairgrounds St. Pete, guests find themselves in a surreal and ‘shrimpified’ world. The pop-up shrimp-themed attraction is part of the venue’s first large expansion since it opened in 2021.
Liz Dimmitt, Fairgrounds St. Pete’s CEO and co-founder, said: “Expanding into a previously unused section of our building, Shrimpfinity is a unique addition to Fairgrounds St. Pete that provides audiences the opportunity to experience something completely new.
“It’s an honor to provide a platform for more Florida-born artists to tell their own weird, wacky, wonderful Florida stories at Fairgrounds St. Pete.”
Elsewhere, Meow Wolf’s fourth permanent installation is set to launch later this year in Grapevine, Texas.
Otherworld, Ohio’s immersive art experience, is opening its second attraction in Philadelphia this month.
