Holovis, a leading experience designer, has entered into a strategic alliance with Discovery Destinations to create new immersive experiences.
Holovis is pleased to announce that will be working with Discovery Destinations as a technology partner, in order to help the company connect viewers to the world around them, by immersing them in stunning media content.
Discovery Destinations aims to inspire, inform and entertain guests. Holovis will be taking Discovery’s content to a new level and helping to create truly memorable experiences, through the addition of new dimensions to its multisensory and immersive environments.
Engaging all the senses
“Through our partnership with Holovis, we are aiming to engage all five senses to deliver sensational experiences that have never been done before with our content,” says Christine Wacker, Vice President of Location Based Entertainment at Discovery.”
“The immersive environments will feature surround, seamless and all-encompassing visuals, spatial audio, SFX including gentle winds and mists, scent to complement the scenes and a fully themed menu, enabling guests to go on spectacular journeys around the world and enjoy authentic cuisine in these stunning environments.”
“This will make the experiences even more powerful and ultimately memorable. Our guests will be very excited to partake in these events.”
Holovis is able to provide turnkey technical solutions which are scalable and designed to a variety of different environments, from themed entertainment spaces and hotels to live shows, exhibits, on-board cruise ships and more. These solutions include complex AV, cutting-edge technology and intuitive interactivity.
“We will also be looking at ways to extend and enhance the experience even further utilising our proprietary software suites such as HoloTrac,” says Heidi Pinchal, Business Development at Holovis. ”
“By putting them in control of their own adventure they can influence the virtual world around them for experiences that are different every time depending on their interests, mood and how they choose to engage.”
Holovis launched its new propriety software platform, HoloTrac, at IAAPA Expo 2019 in Orlando last month. The new software platform is powered by cutting-edge computer vision and tracking technologies. It identifies guests through an attribute recognition engine. This means it is able to offer personalised adventures, where guests can interact with the space and experience a nonlinear narrative.
