Nubart, a creator of innovative audio guide solutions for visitor experiences, has launched an add-on for the digital tour guide system, Nubart LIVE, which uses AI to provide live translation for attraction tours.
Nubart LIVE transforms any smartphone into a tour guide system with just a QR code and an internet connection. With this add-on, the technology can now support multilingual groups.
“In these uncertain times, knowledge and effective communication are more important than ever,” says a spokesperson from the company. “With Nubart LIVE + TRANSLATE, the richness of European cultural heritage can now be shared without language barriers.”

Real-time translation
When using Nubart LIVE + TRANSLATE to deliver a tour, guides speak in their own language and translation is provided in real-time on guests’ mobile phones. In addition, transcripts enhance accessibility.
In contrast to other solutions, the guide does not need to pause after each sentence and can speak fluently while being translated. By establishing the context of each tour, the technology then refines and improves the translation throughout the session.
For attractions such as museums, finding well-trained staff who can assist guests in all the required languages can be difficult, and this can be even more problematic for venues that offer guided tours only due to security or conservation requirements. By making these logistics easier, Nubart LIVE + TRANSLATE offers a major advantage to organisations.
Nubart LIVE was created during the pandemic, and its turnover has since grown significantly. This success is driven by the product’s ease of use, including browser-based technology that does not require an app to be downloaded. The addition of simultaneous translation is set to further boost the popularity of the product.

Earlier this year, Nubart launched an audio guide system for tours on boats and other vehicles. On boat tours, some guests cannot follow a live commentary because they don’t understand the language. Others – particularly locals already familiar with the area – prefer to enjoy the ride in a quiet atmosphere, without commentary over loudspeakers. Nubart’s affordable system solves these problems without needing expensive hardware.
