Nubart reveals AI-powered translation feature for Nubart MOTION system

News
Nubart MOTION translation

Nubart, a creator of innovative audio guide solutions for visitor experiences, has unveiled a new feature for the Nubart MOTION audio guide system that enables simultaneous translation for sightseeing vehicles using real-time AI.

Operators can now use the most versatile browser-based commentary system in the sector to overcome language barriers on vehicle tours.

Dr. Rosa Sala, Nubart CEO, says: “At Nubart, our goal is to make every sightseeing tour truly accessible and enjoyable for all passengers, regardless of language.

“With the new introduction of AI-powered real-time live translation in Nubart MOTION, operators can now select the perfect approach for their unique tours—be it automated commentary with fine-grained control or seamless AI translation for live guides. This flexibility sets a new standard for the industry.”

Adaptable, accessible technology

Nubart’s platform is recognised for its adaptable, browser-based audio commentary system, and sophisticated multi-method self-triggered tour capabilities for various vehicle types.

Now, the company has announced an innovative extension that makes it possible to instantly access any person-guided, live tour in numerous languages. With this new functionality, river cruise, bus, and train tour operators can provide real-time translation for guides’ spoken commentary via guests’ smartphones.

Guests can select their preferred language and choose from translation in either audio or text formats. This is facilitated wholly through their browser with a QR code, and so does not require any app downloads, headphones, or specialised equipment.

A key element of the translation feature is its ability to offer real-time transcriptions, so the tours are accessible for deaf and hard-of-hearing guests.

Following this update, the platform now provides two different modes of operation.

Its traditional automated tours mode, using the platform’s established multi-method triggering system for self-guided commentary, is now joined by live human-guided tours with immediate AI-driven translation for multilingual accessibility. This allows guides to speak naturally, with real-time understanding for all passengers.

Nubart MOTION is a trusted solution among top operators in Europe, and the new AI translation functionality reflects a significant advancement for the platform. With this update, live sightseeing tours have become universally accessible and offer a seamless guest experience without language barriers.

Last month, Nubart launched its AI translation add-on for the Nubart LIVE digital tour guide system.

For attractions such as museums, recruiting well-trained staff who can assist visitors in multiple languages can be challenging. This can be even more problematic for venues that can only offer guided tours, due to security or conservation requirements. Nubart LIVE + TRANSLATE provides a major advantage to such organisations by simplifying these logistics.
