Semnox Jais Sledder

The firm’s technology ensures swift access and smooth processes for the ride’s operator

Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has implemented its Tixera solution on the highest mountain in the UAE.

Since its launch two months ago, Jais Sledder has offered riders an exhilarating experience with panoramic views from the mountain of Ras Al Khaima. The 1,885-metre long toboggan ride has quickly become a significant tourist attraction for the region, officially opening to the public in the middle of February 2022 following the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Flexible for leisure

Semnox was tasked with providing a ticketing and access control solution for the mountainside attraction, resulting in the firm’s latest software execution in the Middle East.

Tixera ensures that customers benefit from a flexible ticketing solution that works seamlessly with multi-channel sales platforms typically used by the leisure sector.

Paper tickets are issued to riders at Jais Sledder from dedicated point-of-sale counters, with options of single and multi-ride tickets available – both are then scanned at the entry access gates.

Boosting the customer experience

Tixera is a Semnox product that is specially designed for attractions such as amusement parks, water parks and other outdoor attractions. As a comprehensive one-stop solution for venue management, the integrated system can include access control, OTAs, cashless solutions, RFID lockers, inventory management, catering sales, maintenance and more.

Sales head for MEA Parks, Meghashyam says: “Working with a prestigious group like RAK Hospitality makes us really proud of our solution. There is a lot of scope for locations like Jebel Jais to use the Tixera solution to boost the customer experience and enhance ticket sales. We look forward to providing a rewarding experience to the group.”

Last month, Semnox revealed how it has partnered with a new FEC in Mississauga, Canada, to improve the guest experience with RFID wristbands and the company’s Parafait Gamification API framework.
