New amusement park in India adopted technology for better operations and guest experience

Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has announced its systems have been used at a new park in India.

When it opened to guests on 10 September 2021, Thrill City went live with the Tixera Parks solution from Semnox. The implementation included access control gates, readers and POS for the 8,000 square metre park with over 50 games and attractions.

Leading experiences at the facility include 12D Monster and Dome Theatres, a Splash Coaster, VR Roller Coaster, and Flight, Car & Bike Simulators. The site also houses family attractions such as a Kids Arcade, Bumping Cars, Horse Carousel and Pendulum Ride, providing activity for all age groups.

Semnox implemented Lumin readers for arcade games, simulators and 3D games at indoor locations. Xcess readers have been utilised for ride entry with access to the site utilising flap barriers and turnstiles.

Visitors to the park can use Smart Loyalty cards or RFID-enabled silicone wristbands to access Thrill City’s various rides and games.

Semnox Solutions group client manager Ashish KS says “We are glad to partner with Thrill City in a major city like Hyderabad to provide the cutting-edge technology demand for the park.

“The venue is designed as a futuristic amusement park, and Semnox has been able to help them live up to this expectation of the park.

“With the cashless solution implementation, the guests have a great and worry-free experience and Thrill City benefits from this. We look forward to more projects with Thrill City to enhance the customer experience in days to come.”

Rajnikanth, Thrill City’s director adds “Thrill City is the only amusement park in India located in the heart of Hyderabad, with a bundle of fun, thrill and larger-than-life experiences to the visitors. We did not want to compromise on the experience for the customers and Semnox made it possible for us to provide the best-in-class technology to power our systems and provide a smooth experience for our staff and visitors. We are happy to have made this decision.”

Earlier this month Semnox celebrated the return of IAAPA Expo, with company CEO Kiran Karanki claiming it was “undoubtedly one of Semnox’s most successful shows”.
