AV staff now have enhanced capabilities when using upgraded system

Smart Monkeys, Inc., the show control specialist, has announced a major update to its ISAAC platform. ISAAC Workspace 2.0 provides a fully redesigned experience, delivering a modernised design and enhanced capabilities.

In what the company calls “by far the most powerful and capable ISAAC ever”, the new version features faster processors up to Dual 16-core CPU and super-fast SSDs. It also benefits from ISAAC Workspace 2.0, the latest version of the advanced and unified user interface.

Discovering ISAAC 2.0

One key change is the redesigned user interface, bringing clarity to a newly refined operational workflow. Many areas have been reconsidered for easy usage, meaning table views have been improved, modal windows have been entirely rethought, and improved colours and visual cues make the service more legible and efficient.

The enhanced Infrastructure section provides visual insights and historical data about infrastructure and system connections, presenting a powerful tool for maintenance and troubleshooting issues.

ISAAC 2.0’s Content Management System section, contains a new grid view that facilitates media selection. The Media Manager now provides table view customisation, improved filtered search, and a CSV export function. The CMS now also supports Image Sequences.

The Focus View feature will assist in multi-window or multi-screen situations, providing views in separate tabs or windows.

Smart Monkeys has confirmed that it is shipping ISAAC systems that can run ISAAC Workspace 2.0. All ISAAC systems currently in operation are eligible for the free upgrade, providing they benefit from an eligible Support and Subscription contract (SnS).

Smart Monkeys managing partner Stephan Villet says “ISAAC Workspace is packed with features that help ISAAC users get more done, leverage a greater ecosystem, and access new tools to manage and monitor their AV systems.

“We think our customers are going to love the new UI design, enjoying the improved workflow, and relying on the new infrastructure section.”

Expansive ecosystem

The full potential of ISSAC’s API is created by the Crestron SIMPL Module, enhancing the manufacturer’s 3 & 4 Series Control Processors. For a more connected experience, Crestron VC4 can be hosted purely within ISAAC, with no need for additional hardware.

The ISAAC API is also not supported natively by PIXERA control. The direct integration aims to provide users with both ISAAC’s high-level system health and maintenance capabilities as well as great attention to detail with the PIXERA content editing and presentation platform.

A new Crestron SIMPL Module brings the full potential of the ISAAC API to the manufacturer’s 3 & 4 Series Control Processors. For an even more converged experience, Crestron VC4 can simply be hosted within ISAAC without the need for additional hardware.

PIXERA control is now supporting the ISAAC API natively. The direct integration is aimed at giving users the best of both worlds; ISAAC’s unmatched high-level system health and maintenance capabilities coupled with fine-grained access to the PIXERA content editing and presentation platform.

Other modules added recently include QSC Q-SYS, Brightsign, Zeevee, and Megapixel, providing more functionality for users.
