TAIT, a global leader in the live experience industry, has publicly launched Feltboard, developed in partnership with Google.
This is an innovative cloud-based platform for creating, managing, and sharing stories in physical spaces.
Empowering storytellers
In 2020, Google and TAIT formed a partnership to tackle the challenge of managing screens and experiential activations across a wide range of unique physical environments, whether lobbies, event spaces, experience centres or retail.
The outcome, Feltboard, debuted at Google’s New York City landmark, Pier 57, in 2022. Over the following years, it has expanded to campuses across the world and its capabilities have advanced significantly.
Ryan Howard, experience platform lead, Google, says: “Sometimes you need to hit play and walk away. Sometimes you need to conduct an orchestra. We designed Feltboard to empower storytellers with a fully-integrated workflow of responsive and generative design tools across a large global footprint.”
The solution has developed into a hybrid cloud Experience Management System (XMS) that streamlines content management and exhibit control across various modalities. Notably, Feltboard offers the sector enterprise-grade security, dependable operation, and scalability, suitable for large settings such as stadiums, amusement parks, cruise ships, and more.
As part of the TAIT product family, Feltboard is now available to enterprise clients that face these same experience management challenges.
“By leveraging Feltboard’s robust capabilities developed with Google, we have been pushing the boundaries of digital storytelling, intelligent content management, and seamless user interactions across a global portfolio of Google spaces,” says Adam Davis, TAIT CEO.
“I’m incredibly energized by the future of this platform and the opportunities to revolutionize content management and delivery as we expand with more strategic partners moving forward.”
West Bielstein, brand experience lead, Google, says: “We’ve worked hard to develop a storyteller-centric, enterprise-grade platform, with the reliability and scalability required to support an organization like ours. Now, we’re excited to build upon this momentum by bringing others into the collaboration, taking Feltboard’s capabilities even further.”
Recently, TAIT announced the appointment of Dan Healey to the new role of director, technical delivery. Healey re-joins TAIT from Disney. In his new role, he will shape the department’s strategic vision and continued growth, with a team of nearly 40 full-time technical directors.
