The firm plans to capture attention on the show floor

ThisPlays International, a provider of photo booth products, will return to IAAPA Expo Europe this month for its fifth year at the annual event.

Since its pioneering days, the firm has continued to evolve with investment in technology and innovation as well as the creativity found at the heart of its business. The company’s award-winning photobooths are found all over Europe.

“We pride ourselves being award-winning in experiences from one end, but having a
very strong tech foundation on the other hand,” says owner founder Mark van der Weide. “This results in an integrated experience that is truly hassle-free by the use of in-house technology. Our partners have a park to run and not a photobooth business; that is our job!”

Reliability matters

Research from ThisPlays shows that the firm’s product generates up to four times the average for photobooths in the market, with an almost non-existent downtime rate of 0.03%. Weide believes that ThisPlays’s success relies on delivering the right product at the right time for clients:

“It is a combination of a few things that perfectly fit the timeframe. Attractions strongly look for new revenue streams, a ‘wow experience’ and self-service solutions; and that is exactly what we offer; in a very premium way which proves itself in record revenue.”

ThisPlays International uses a simple revenue share model to ensure a win-win scenario with attractions. The company covers the full investment, of design, build and maintenance, with a ‘hyperfocus’ on storytelling. The average revenue per machine is €61k.

Welde continues: “It is not about tech, it is about how it makes our users feel. We only ask our partners to facilitate a few square metres and a socket – we simply do the rest and share the record revenue [with clients]. This is the proven future of photobooths.”

ThisPlays International will be in booth #3309 at ExCeL London from 13-15 September 2022.
