Over 200 nominees are competing this year to become one of seven winners in each country represented in the Remarkable Venue Awards. Nominees for the first five award categories, Most Remarkable Venue, Best Museum, Best Attraction, Best Landmark and Best Onsite Experience, have been revealed and published on the Tiqets website

The selection of the nominees in these categories is based on more than one million customer reviews of venues on Tiqets.com. Confirmed nominees include Arc de Triomphe, Borghese Gallery, the Burj Khalifa, Keukenhof, MoMA, Oceanário de Lisboa, Sagrada Familia, Schloss Neuschwanstei and the Tower of London.

Judging best venues

Two more award categories, Best Hidden Gem and Most Innovative Venue, will be assessed by a panel of industry experts including Arival CEO Douglas Quinby, Viajes National Geographic web director Javier Zori and Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions Destination development manager Anouk van Eekelen.

“The world’s appetite for travel and culture is back! We are proud to offer hundreds of museums and attractions across the globe the chance to reach new visitors by being named the Best Hidden Gem or Most Innovative Venue in their country, says Tiqets CEO Laurens Leurink.

“These awards celebrate niche, unique and off-the-beaten-track venues as well as those pushing the boundaries to engage visitors in new and exciting ways. We are excited to help uncover these special venues and share them with the world.”

Full details of nominees can be found on the Tiqets website.
