Triotech Storm VR Simulator

The innovative experience has become a reliable attraction for operators

Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced how its Storm simulators have continued to generate strong revenues for attractions despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Triotech reports that over the last two years, the Storm unit has been a huge success in the leisure market, entering best attraction and best ride lists for a number of FECs and arcades.

The Storm can be found in over two hundred locations around the world and is a top revenue generator for venues such as Andretti’s Indoor Karting & Games, Orlando, US.

David Pascoe is the amusement director at this location. He says: “The Storm has an incredible appeal in our locations. The return on investment has been remarkably fast as we paid it in two months only with the revenues it generated!”

Featuring a world-premiere for coin-op VR games, players can interact with the coin-op VR game with simple hand and arm motions, removing the requirement for controllers. The device-free nature is a unique element for Triotech in the VR coin-op simulator market, which also utilises. wind and motion effects as well as exclusive content developed by Triotech.

Something for everyone

Triotech says that one of the keys to The Storm simulator’s success is its wide appeal, with an audience as broad as young children, teens, parents, and grandparents. The company offers a library of content to increase repeat rides and encourage multiple plays from guests.

Triotech’s latest movie for the Storm, Sugary Slope, is an interactive adventure that immerses players in an action-packed competitive race in a world of sweets, lollipops and chocolate geysers.

The candy-coloured universe aims at a slightly younger demographic, whilst providing great appeal for children and young adults, adding variety to Triotech’s movie portfolio of thrilling adventures.

Pascoe adds: “We have worked with Triotech for more than eight years. We love the reliability of their equipment and trust them to develop attractions that visitors will love and that generate revenues.”

Take on the Storm experience

Triotech will be taking its Storm simulator to the Amusement Expo International (AMOA) in Las Vegas at Booth #505 this week from 16 – 17 March 2022.

Visitors will also be able to try the company’s VR coin-op game at DEAL show in Dubai, in partnership with Amusement Services International LLC (ASI), distributor for Triotech’s product in the MENA region, at booth C61 from 28 – 30 March.
