WNDR‘s flagship attraction in Chicago is home to interactive installations by cutting-edge artists.

Chicago’s WNDR Museum is expanding across the US, with new immersive art experiences set to launch in San Diego, Seattle, and Boston.

WNDR Boston will be located in the Lafayette City Center shopping complex, and the San Diego venue is opening at the Broker’s Building in the Gaslamp Quarter.

“Boston is home to many world-class museums, which is why WNDR was determined to put its next location in Boston,” said Ryan Kunkel, president of WNDR Global.

“WNDR is not just a museum but also a vehicle for unexpected collaboration, community engagement, corporate partnerships, and innovation.”

The new Boston attraction will be home to unique and interactive artworks by local artists including David Allen.

“WNDR wants to be a space to create, learn, share, and play for all who call Boston home and for individuals merely visiting one of America’s most historic cities,” Kunkel added.

Audrey Epstein Reny, co-CEO of the Abbey Group, which owns the Lafayette City Center, said WNDR Boston will be a “vibrant destination” that attracts “new tourists and visitors from across the city, region and globe”.

WNDR’s flagship location in Chicago merges art and technology, offering interactive installations by cutting-edge artists, collectives, technologists and designers.

Current exhibits include Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s ‘Let’s Survive Forever’, which features an infinity mirror room.

Immersive art experiences are still all the rage, with a new attraction called Dalí Alive opening in Colorado in October.

Frameless, London’s first permanent immersive art experience, is also launching in October. Culturespaces is opening its first venue for digital art in North America in September.
