Eric Carnagey oversees new business, marketing and media divisions across the world for Legacy Entertainment, a leading theme park and resort design company. Over the last decade, he has played a key role in implementing successful new business and vertical growth strategies, international marketing and brand campaigns, and producing media for multimedia attractions.
Carnagey has served on the executive management team for the creation of world-class entertainment projects, including Six Flags’ Glow in the Park Parade, Galaxy Macau Resort & Casino, Studio City Macau Casino Resort, Lotte World’s Let’s Dream nighttime parade, Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park, and the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom expansion.
Legacy’s latest project is to design and build a new water park to serve as the anchor attraction of an upcoming resort development in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The integrated resort will be home to unique water attractions, a thematic hotel, immersive dining and live entertainment.
“World-class entertainment projects like this can be transformational for a community,” said Carnagey. “Once complete, this new resort will supercharge tourism, create hundreds or even thousands of jobs, and enrich the lives of the people of Tashkent and Uzbekistan, as well as Central Asia.”
For Legacy’s media division, Carnagey leads the development and production of animation and live-action media projects for theme parks, theatre and TV. In the location-based entertainment business, he has facilitated IP licences and acquisitions between rights holders and studios, as well as developers and operators. He has also produced new entertainment offerings and experiences for existing brands in new markets.
