accesso Technology Group Acquires Siriusware, Expanding Into Ski and Snow Sports Sector

accesso Technology Group plc, the premier technology solutions provider to the global attractions and leisure industry, has announced the acquisition of Siriusware.

accesso logo The acquisition of Siriusware reinforces accesso’s presence in the theme park and attractions industry, expands its presence within the cultural attractions segment and allows the company to break into the ski market.

Tom Burnet, accesso CEO, said, “This acquisition aligns two like-minded teams and two highly complementary product offerings that, together, can unlock greater value in traditional markets and in new ones.  Siriusware’s solutions expand our capabilities and allow us to offer support and innovation across multiple touch points in a guest’s leisure journey – from ticketing and queuing to payments and point of sale.”

The move is in line with Burnet’s remit from the Board of Lo-Q when appointed as CEO to “go for growth”.  In December 2012 Lo-Q acquired accesso (changing the name of the new group to accesso in November 2013) and this latest acquisition brings a strengthened position in terms of integrated technology for the “guest journey” in the attractions industry but also allows expansion into the ski sector.

Siriusware is a leading North American provider of ticketing and point-of-sale (POS) software and hardware solutions to the leisure industry.  From a strong base servicing more than 130 ski resorts from North America to New Zealand, Siriusware has diversified recently to include more than 120 clients across the attractionssiriusware accesso logo industry.  The company’s products which include ticketing,  membership, retail, food and beverage, group scheduling, reservations and other solutions through a single integrated platform.

Under terms of the acquisition, Siriusware will retain its Taos, NM headquarters and Mark Danemann, Siriusware founder, will serve as president of the Siriusware division of the company.   All 60 Siriusware employees will continue to work for the company.
