The Al Kout Mall, a waterfront retail and entertainment development in Kuwait featuring a marine life-themed entertainment centre, cinema and go-karting track, is expected to open in the first quarter of 2018.
Developed by Tamdeen Group, the Al Kout Mall has entered its final stages of construction. It occupies a 300,000 square metre plot and will feature 360 retail stores as well as entertaining and dining options.
On the entertainment side, the mall will host Infunity Sea, the largest indoor family entertainment centre in Kuwait. Infunity will have a range of rides and activities including a roller coaster, drop tower, go-karts, climbing wall, arcade and a play zone for young children.
There will also be a 12-screen cinema, run by Cinescape, featuring IMAX and 4DX systems as well as a bowling alley. In addition, Al Kout Mall will house Q8 Karting, the biggest indoor track of its kind in the Middle East, offering an experience that simulates pro racing.
The Al Kout Mall is part of the larger Al Kout Project, which is developing 1.6km of seafront in the Fahaheel area of Kuwait.
The mall will be connected via a footbridge to Al Kout Souq, a traditional-style marketplace with local traders selling meat and vegetables. A five-star hotel is also part of the development.
Muath B. Al Roumi, General Manager of Marketing for Tamdeen Group, said: “The first quarter of 2018 will witness the birth of an exceptional tourism and retail destination in Kuwait.
“With many exciting tourist attractions for all, Tamdeen Group is proud of Al Kout Project, and Al Kout Mall in particular, as a multiuse destination that goes beyond mainstream concepts of shopping centres. This will be one of the leading urban landmarks in Kuwait offering an enthralling mix of modernity and Kuwaiti heritage.”
