Alton Towers reveals opening date of new CBeebies Land attractions

Alton Towers has shared new images of its team applying the final touches to the new CBeebies Land attractions.

Alton Towers Resort has revealed that three new attractions inspired by Hey DuggeeAndy’s Adventures and JoJo & Gran Gran are opening in CBeebies Land on March 19.

Alton Towers has also released images of its team applying the final touches to the new attractions, which are Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge, JoJo & Gran Gran at Home, and Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig.

Hey Duggee Clubhouse features slides and sensory play areas, while Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig is home to giant dinosaur fossils, including a replica Tyrannosaurus skull.

JoJo & Gran Gran at Home is an immersive replica of Gran Gran’s home from the CBeebies show. Also launching this month are two new live shows, ‘Bing’s Day Out at CBeebies Land’ and ‘Hey Duggee: The Map Badge’.

Existing rides and attractions at CBeebies Land include Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride, In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, Postman Pat Parcel Force, Something Special Sensory Garden and Octonauts Rollercoasters Adventure.

Alton Towers has also unveiled the new Bing-themed rooms in the CBeebies Land Hotel. Rooms are also inspired by Postman Pat, In the Night Garden, Octonauts and Something Special.

Natasha Spence, head of attractions and live entertainment at BBC Studios, previously said the land “offers a brilliant and unique opportunity for young children and their families to experience some of their favourite CBeebies shows and friends as they are brought to life”. 

“We are really excited to grow the fun-packed programme of entertainment and attractions in CBeebies Land, bringing to life even more TV favourites for families to enjoy together,” added Larry Roles, marketing director for Alton Towers Resort.

Alton Towers Resort reopens on March 19.
