Alvarado, a U.S. manufacturer of physical entry control products, has provided its popular full height turnstiles and proprietary software for Diggerland USA.
Diggerland USA, located in West Berlin, New Jersey, opened to the public in June 2014. This is the first Diggerland in North America, the first four being well established in the UK, providing a visitor experience where families can ride and operate construction themed attractions, based on iconic JCB heavy construction equipment, in a safe environment.
Alvarado supplied their fully integrated intelligent admission control solution, to streamline access control at Diggerland USA and assist with the operator’s proactive approach towards unauthorized patron entry.
The key features of Alvarado’s gate admissions solution include:
- MSTT tandem full height electric turnstiles outfitted with TAS12 scanning devices and GateLink to prevent unauthorized entries and monitor attendance in real time.
- Working alongside Diggerland USA’s existing ticketing system are GateConnect and fully integrated intelligent scanning turnstiles, to read and validate barcoded wrist bands for entry purposes.
- Alvarado’s MSG electric locking pedestrian gates offer a 48” passage width for material deliveries and access for disabled patrons.
- GateWatch monitors turnstile passage outputs and keeps an accurate sum of park attendees in real-time; vital for ensuring guests safety and for auditing.
Ilya Girlya, President and CEO of Sahara Sam's Oasis and Diggerland USA theme parks, said, “Alvarado provided a superior access control system that integrated well with our POS provider enhancing the ability to reduce staffing and limit gate access to paying customers. In addition their ADA accessible entry point with magnetic locking device created an easy out of the box solution to cater to anyone needing assistance where a turnstile is not practical. The ability to select a magnitude of colors for our theme allowed for a well aligned product that we have been very happy with.”
