Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, has unveiled the multiverse-themed attraction.

Avengers Campus is expanding at Disneyland Resort with a third attraction featuring ‘King Thanos’, as revealed at D23 Expo 2022.

Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, shared more about the ride at Avengers Campus during a presentation at this year’s D23 Expo on 11 September.

D’Amaro was joined by Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, to unveil the new family-friendly attraction. Guests will join more of the Avengers and their allies to take on enemies from the multiverse.

These include King Thanos, a villain created specially for Avengers Campus. “This is a new version of Thanos for the very first time coming into the MCU via this attraction,” Feige said.

“He’s got a cool white beard, too, and a crown,” he added. “This is a Thanos that won, and the Avengers aren’t too happy about that. And you have to help them.”

In addition, the Incredible Hulk will appear in his Quantum Suit at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure from this week for a limited time.

“The fun thing about Marvel is [seeing] the characters all of the characters, all of the time – and with the multiverse at Avengers Campus, you’re going to be able to do that,” Feige said.

Disneyland Paris’ Avengers Campus opened earlier this year. Europe’s first Marvel-themed land is home to two new rides, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force.

“There’s no limits to where we are going,” D’Amaro said at D23 Expo.

“When I look back over our first 100 years, what jumps out at me is how we are just constantly reinventing ourselves, telling new stories for brand-new generations.

“You all know this: we need those stories more than ever. And that’s a lesson we take straight from Walt. He believed in the power of storytelling.”
