Six Flags Magic Mountain in California has announced a record-breaking roller coaster called Thrill Glider for 2027.
Created exclusively for Six Flags Magic Mountain by Vekoma, the ride combines flying, motorbike and suspended coaster technologies to form a world-first coaster category – the Thrillglider.
"Blending engaging storytelling, futuristic design and advanced coaster technology, Thrill Glider delivers a one-of-a-kind adventure that transports guests into an optimistic vision of the future," Six Flags Magic Mountain said in a press release.

Riders will board flying bike-style vehicles suspended beneath the track as they experience speeds of up to 50 mph, a top height of 107 feet, 12 airtime moments, and five unique inversions.
The ride experience is enhanced with synchronised onboard audio and immersive lighting effects.
"Thrill Glider is more than a new attraction. It is the latest milestone in Six Flags Magic Mountain's renaissance and a reflection of the park's enduring role as an industry innovator," said Brian Oerding, park president of Six Flags Magic Mountain.
"With a decades-long reputation for introducing record-breaking attractions and genre-defining rides, Magic Mountain is uniquely positioned to pioneer an entirely new coaster category and bring Thrill Glider to life."
Thrill Glider will have a minimum height requirement of just 48 inches, making it accessible to a wide range of riders.
It will be located on the former site of the Golden Bear Theatre between Full Throttle and Lux Luthor: Drop of Doom, and adjacent to the recently reimagined Looney Tunes Land.
The ride is already under construction and scheduled to open in 2027.
