UK theme park Blackpool Pleasure Beach is updating its Wallace & Gromit ride to include elements from 2024 film Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.
Following the success of the new film, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is introducing five new additions to Wallace & Gromit’s Thrill-O-Matic this summer.
These include characters from the film like Norbot and new interpretations of Feathers McGraw, as well as new props and set pieces, updates to the ride’s queue line, and new merchandise in the dedicated Wallace & Gromit shop.
Currently, the Thrill-O-Matic ride takes guests through scenes from A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave, A Matter of Loaf and Death, and The Curse of the Were Rabbit.
Wallace & Gromit creator Aardman, the award-winning UK studio, is working closely with Pleasure’s Beach’s engineering and creative team on the new Vengeance Most Fowl experiences.
Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort, said: “Pleasure Beach is renowned not only for introducing exciting new rides, but for constantly investing in updating the story, systems, technology and theming of our classic attractions.”
New props, set pieces and characters
She added: “Wallace & Gromit are national treasures and have always been a firm favourite with visitors, but the success of their new film has certainly delivered a renewed excitement for the characters and their stories.
“To be updating this wonderful ride truly reaffirms our commitment to attracting families back to the resort for what we hope will be a grand day out.”
Wallace & Gromit’s Thrill-O-Matic opened at Pleasure Beach in 2013.
In more news, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is launching a new £8.72 million attraction called Aviktas in 2026, set to be the UK’s tallest swinging pendulum ride.
The park has also opened its reimagined Launch Pad ride and announced a reopening date for its Grand National coaster.
