Cedar Point in Ohio has unveiled the lead car for Siren’s Curse, North America‘s tallest, longest and fastest tilt coaster.
The new coaster by Vekoma Rides, the Dutch roller coaster specialist, features two, 24-passenger trains offering integrated audio and LED lighting.
On the new attraction, riders will ascend 160 feet before experiencing a dead stop on a “broken off” piece of track, with a creaking platform slowly tilting the trains into a 90-degree vertical position.

As the track locks into place, riders race away from the call of Lake Erie’s fictitious sirens, speeding through 2,966 feet of track at speeds of up to 58 mph.
Siren’s Curse also features 13 weightless airtime moments, two 360-degree, zero-gravity barrel rolls and a high-speed “triple-down” element.
“The entire ride is an experience filled with non-stop action, but that first precarious tilted position where you’re hanging on – looking straight down – and waiting for the track to connect will be a signature moment our fans will love,” said Carrie Boldman, vice president and general manager of Cedar Point.
Siren’s Curse due to open early summer
“It’s a first-of-its kind for Cedar Point and we’re thrilled to bring it to our guests.”
In more news, the Cedar Point Shores water park is getting two new tube slides, while the theme park’s Famous Dave’s BBQ Restaurant is relocating to Castaway Bay, Cedar Point’s indoor water park hotel.
Siren’s Curse is due to open in early summer, bringing Cedar Point’s total coaster count to 19. The record-breaking Top Thrill 2 coaster is scheduled to reopen this year.
