Disneyland Paris will open its new World of Frozen land in spring 2026, as announced at this year’s D23, Disney’s fan event in Florida.
The new Frozen-themed land is part of Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios Park, which is undergoing a major redevelopment to become Disney Adventure World.
Alongside the D23 announcement, Disneyland Paris has shared a new video featuring Michel den Dulk, vice president and portfolio executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering in Paris, in which he unveils Arendelle Castle and Elsa’s Ice Palace.
“There is the elegant Arendelle Castle, which is inspired by traditional Scandinavian architecture,” Den Dulk said.
“Inside, guests can roam the royal hallways and go in an audience with Queen Elsa and Queen Anna.”
Disney Imagineers “have just completed the installation of Elsa’s Ice Palace on top of the North Mountain, the highest point of World of Frozen”, he added.
Construction underway on Frozen land
“With its height and scale, the ice palace made out of more than 30 pieces will for sure become a beacon that guests walk towards as they approach this new immersive area.”
He said, “Day by day, Arendelle becomes more lively, but behind the scenes in World of Frozen and our other experiences, there’s still a lot to achieve, but one thing is certain – we will welcome our guests and fans to World of Frozen in the spring of 2026.”
Speaking to blooloop last year, Disneyland Paris’ présidente Natacha Rafalski said: “Our guests will soon be able to immerse themselves like never before in this powerful storytelling that has become so beloved around the world.”
Also part of the new Disney Adventure World are a new area and ride based on The Lion King and a new attractions themed to Tangled and Up. The park’s new entrance opened in May.
The world’s first Frozen land opened at Hong Kong Disneyland in November 2023.
Tokyo DisneySea’s eighth themed port, Fantasy Springs, also contains a Frozen area called Frozen Kingdom.
