Disneyland has once again raised its ticket prices ahead of the ‘Disney 100 Years of Wonder’ celebrations. The resort in California is also launching MagicBand+ on 26 October.
The MagicBand+ wearable is an upgraded version of the company’s MagicBand technology. Similar to a smartwatch for theme park guests, it is designed to enhance the visitor experience.
By simply tapping the MagicBand+, guests can enter the Disneyland Resort theme parks, check in at the Lightning Lane entrances and link photos from a Disney PhotoPass photographer to their Disney accounts.
The wearable also features colour-changing LED lights and haptic vibrations during some park experiences and entertainment offerings.

At night, MagicBand+ will illuminate and pulse in sync during ‘World of Color’ in Disney California Adventure and ‘Fantasmic’ in Disneyland.
It will also interact with the new nighttime spectaculars debuting on 27 January 2023. ‘World of Color – One’ at Disney California Adventure and ‘Wondrous Journeys’ at Disneyland are part of ‘Disney 100 Years of Wonder’.
“We are always looking for innovative ways to make magic,” said Disneyland Resort president Ken Potrock.
“MagicBand+ is another way we are leveraging technology to delight our guests and create experiences that are unlike any other,” he added.
“This is just the beginning, we have plans to continue to grow MagicBand+ offerings at Disneyland Resort in the future with the addition of exciting new features.”

At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, guests will be able to use the wristband to find virtual bounties in the ‘Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters’ interactive quest.
To use the wearable, guests will need a Disney account and the Disneyland app. Additional MagicBand+ experiences will be introduced in the future.
MagicBand+ is available in more than 18 colours and designs, including five prints exclusive to Disneyland Resort.
