Frontier Falls includes an immersive Wild West-style street and new rides

Drayton Manor in Staffordshire, UK has unveiled its new land, Frontier Falls. The Wild West-themed addition opens this weekend on 24 March.

Frontier Falls is home to the Falls Theatre, a state-of-the-art 4D venue offering a Looney Tunes show featuring Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner

The Blasting Barrels & Co ride is a Western twist on the classic teacup ride, while Sheriff’s Showdown is an interactive shoot-out ride.

Frontier Falls also includes an immersive Wild West-style street, which will transport guests back in time to a world of cowboys, outlaws and frontier towns. There will be daily shoot-outs.

Victoria Lynn, managing director at Drayton Manor, said: “The opening of Frontier Falls truly showcases what a thrilling 2024 we have in store for Drayton Manor, marking our biggest year yet.

“We’re constantly evolving the resort to ensure we’re offering fun and excitement for all ages, and can’t wait to open the gates to the new land and embark on a Wild West adventure like no other.”

Part of the new land is a new coaster, Drayton Manor has confirmed. This is in addition to the park’s other new coaster, The Wave, an updated version of the Shockwave coaster.

Shockwave is being transformed from a standing roller coaster into a sit-down attraction, meaning smaller guests can enjoy the ride experience.

Last year, Drayton Manor exclusively revealed to blooloop that it had been working with Intamin, a creator of record-breaking amusement rides, on a new family-friendly thrill coaster.

The first coaster to be added to Drayton Manor since 2011 is part of a multimillion-pound investment plan, continuing the park’s development under the ownership of the Looping Group.

Drayton Manor offers more than 50 rides and attractions. In 2022, the park opened a new Vikings-themed area with four rides and attractions.
