ETF Ride Systems, a leading ride designer and manufacturer, has announced its new director for sales and marketing.
Jos Sloesen (pictured) will take over from company veteran Ruud Jeen, who has spent more than three decades with ETF.
As part of the ETF Group, Netherlands-based ETF Ride Systems develops rides that enhance amusement park and museum experiences for guests. The company provides a range of systems including track bound and trackless options for the ground, on water, elevated or suspended.
ETF Ride Systems provides attractions to destinations and parks around the world, including Hotel Transylvania, a dark ride at Dream Island, Moscow, and Genting SkyWorlds at Resorts World Genting, Malaysia. The company’s ride concepts, which include dark rides, can be customised to fit specific operator requirements and represent specific themes.
The firm has won a number of awards for its work including a Thea Award for the Bazyliszek dark ride at Legendia in Poland, which won an outstanding achievement award in 2019. The ride used ETF Ride System’s trackless Multi Mover vehicles.
Mechanically minded
Sloesen brings a wealth of experience to the team, having worked for more than 25 years in the industrial capital goods sector. He also has a background in mechanical engineering.
Jeen will remain in the background at ETF until the summer months with the plan of guiding Sloesen into his new role in leading sales and marketing activity. Jeen will shortly after commence his early retirement.
ETF Group president Ruud Koppens says: “We would like to thank Ruud Jeen for his endless efforts and energy that have helped make ETF what it is today. With the arrival of Jos, we will continue in Ruud’s footsteps and take new steps in the market.
Last Autumn, ETF Ride Systems presented its new water ride and ETF Aqua Mover model, designed to entertain the whole family with a wide range of features.
