Extreme Engineering, a leading adventure attractions company, has announced details of new products which will be showcased at the IAAPA Expo next month.
The firm has confirmed that new roller coasters will be built all around the US, such as a suspended Cloud Coaster which will be located inside the new, more expansive Wilderness at the Smokies. The 397-linear-foot-long Cloud Coaster will rocket passengers throughout the building and into various park locations. A ropes course, different attractions, a restaurant and beverage area, and an indoor suspended coaster will also be available at Sports Wenatchee in Washington.
The largest outdoor roller coaster project for Extreme Engineering will be at Richland Chambers, Texas. With over 820 linear feet of track and two lift hill portions, this coaster will ascend at a dizzying height of over 60 feet.
Early next year, the final location will be revealed – a project situated in an indoor waterpark.
“We are very excited for this year’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida,” says chief financial officer Phil Wilson. “Our team is thrilled to unveil three new roller coaster locations, with one additional location to be fully disclosed early next year. Best of all, we have two new products that we will debut on the show floor, the Parkour Around and Flex Shade system.”
Parkour Around
Participants in Parkour Around will be able to run through thrilling elements while being fastened to a patent-pending support device. Guests will be able to run at quick speeds, jump long distances, and reach tall heights, all made possible with the unique device.
“This device transforms riders into video game action heroes. The possibilities with theming, IP and experience are endless,” continues Wilson. “We will be ready to take pre-orders at IAAPA Expo and get early adopters into the latest attraction by Extreme Engineering for 2023.”
Flex Shade
At IAAPA Expo, the brand-new Flex Shade system, created by Extreme Engineering, will also make its debut. Extreme Engineering‘s revolutionary flex rod technology is used in the patent-pending device called Flex Shade.
All of the load tension is provided by the flex rods, which reduces the need for bulky, conventional gear to adjust sail shades. Extreme’s Flex Shade may be installed without the expensive infrastructure requirements typically associated with other shade systems because it doesn’t require huge concrete pilings.
“Flex Shade has been a product in the making for almost ten years. After a decade of research and testing, including installations across the world, we are incredibly excited to bring this product to market. Flex Shade will change the shade structure industry,” adds Wilson.
“Amazing technology”
The Flex Shade is now offered in square and triangle shapes, as well as various unique shapes and sizes. There are more than six common colours available, as well as possibilities for screen printing.
“We have some pretty amazing technology which will be applied to the shade system, such as programable media to really cool custom theming. What I love the most about the Flex Shade product is that it is designed to provide little to no impact during installation.”
Extreme Engineering will be showcasing its latest attractions, products and engineering design services at IAAPA Expo, booth #2600.
